Assistant Provost for Academic Affairs
The Assistant Provost serves as a policy and procedure resource for Academic Affairs, works with the College’s shared governance system, facilitates the approval processes for new academic programs, and reviews student complaints and appeals at the level of the Provost’s Office. Units in this area include Academic Integrity and the Office of Competitive Post-Graduate Fellowships. As the MSCHE Accreditation Liaison Officer, the Assistant Provost serves as a resource on matters related to regional accreditation.
Dr. Jennifer Palmgren has served as the assistant provost in Academic Affairs since January, 2014. She received her B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross and her M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining TCNJ, she was a faculty member and program director at Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Virginia. While at Saint Paul’s College, she directed the General Studies (general education) program, the Dominion Scholars Leadership program, and, during the institution’s final year, she served as vice president for academic affairs.
